Classic Tiki Drinks
From the Godfathers of Tiki: Donn Beach and Trader Vic!
Mai-Tai
Mai Tai-Roa Aé! (Out of this world in Tahitian). The iconic Trader Vic’s cocktail that led to a worldwide rum shortage. If you want to know what Tiki is all about, this one is it. You can also try it with Yuzu for a delicious tarty taste!
Navy Grog
A drink that will put hair on your chest and makes you want to sail the seven seas. With a history all the way back to 1740, we serve Don The Beachcomber's 1944 version. A robust rum punch with a blend of three tasty rums with a delicious aftertaste of honey.
Missionary's Downfall
A occasional offering here at The Hideaway. Diced fresh pineapple blended with fresh mint leaves creates a delicious and surprisingly light combination.
Jungle Bird
This classic Tiki drink originated through the dark ages of cocktails. However, it still stands the test of time. Using Campari it brings a mixture of bittersweetness that is blending the mix between Tiki drinks and the craft cocktail scene.
Planter’s Punch
One of the original Donn Beach Jamaican style cocktails. Coming from the late 1800's it was refined by the master himself into the classic we know today. Not too sweet, not too sour. Boozy, but not overly strong. Just great!
Shark's Tooth
For the rum aficionados, we present the Shark's Tooth. A gorgeous extra old aged rum with a hint of lime and sugar. A brilliant smooth drink.
Zombie
The legendary lethal libation. We pay homage to the godfather of Tiki's most famous cocktail by sticking to his original recipe. The secret is the incredible Zombie rum blend by Hamilton, imported straight from the States. It's a drink you never had this side of the ocean. But beware, you might understand its name. Limited to one per guest!
